Cordea Savills appoints David Bailey
Cordea Savills, the international property fund manager, has appointed David Bailey as a consultant whose key focus will be to assist in the development and to provide support to the Charities Property Fund.
“David has a first class record in the charities investment sector and is a welcome addition to the team. His recent experience in setting up charity common investment funds coupled with his roles as a trustee and former Finance Director provide him with a unique insight into the market and the needs of our charity clients.”
David was previously at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was Head of Charities. Prior to this David was Vice President, Charities at Deutsche Asset Management and Charities Specialist at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. From 1994 – 1998 David, a Wing Commander, was Finance Director of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
In June 2004, David was honoured with the Order of Merit for his services to the Polish Air Force and continues to serve that charity as the investment trustee.
In his role, David will leverage his extensive experience both in investment management and as a charity practitioner to assist in the development and to provide support to the Charities Property Fund with a view to broadening its investor base. The Charities Property Fund is a diversified commercial property fund with a focus on providing an attractive level of income while preserving capital values. The Fund is managed by Rensburg Sheppards in conjunction with Cordea Savills.
